Even after years of taking art classes I was still lost when trying to pick color correctors. I eventually stumbled upon a few youtube videos that helped guide me to which ones were best suited for my skin tone. My skin is a lighter tan but my bags are much darker, so I was confused on which to get. At first, I stumbled upon the NYX PROFESSIONAL MAKEUP Color Correcting Concealer Palette which has 6 shades for concealing, brigtening, and contouring.
I think all of the shades except for the reds/apricots worked (those are for my under eyes). It wasnt quite dark enough to conceal my eyes, and the formula is very creamy and showed my eye wrinkles. The theory of how ot match your shades goes back to basic color theory. The opposite colors on the colorwheel neutralize eachother.
