When I first turned gluten intolerant I was not only upset, but confused. Most of the foods that I liked did not have gluten free alternatives and if they did, required very specific and expensive ingredients to make. While there are a variety of flours, most are anywhere from $4 – $6 and require multiple kinds or larger quantities. Not to mention the substantial amount of sugar in gluten free baked goods. Through a few months of experimentation, I have found a few cheaper and quicker alternatives that are equally healthy and tasty.
I do not have celiac disease, just a gluten intolerance. Most of the ingredients I will list are gluten free (besides soy sauce) or contain no gluten, but processed in a factory that also produces wheat.
