I have been trying to cut back on my sugar intake for years. But one thing I cannot resist is a snickers. It has an irrestitable gooey and crunchy texture with a creamy chocolate taste anyone could fight for (that is, if you aren’t allergic to nuts). After giving that up, I want to try to make a healthier version that is sure to be equally addicting. I will say that this serves one because I can single handedly eat all of these in one setting. I got this recipie from a friend and I think about these at least once a week. I reccommend using organic dried deglet noor dates!

Assembly Time

Serves
1
Ingredients
- As many dates as you want! (1 date = 1 bar)
- chocolate chips
- peanut butter
- whole almonds (1 almond = 1 bar)
Steps
1
Rinse and cut each date in half. Remove the pit if there is one.
2
Take one half of the date and fill it with peanut butter and one almond. Take the other half and fill it only with peanut butter. Then, Push both ends back together to make one whole date.
3
Prepare a sheet with parchment paper on a plate or baking sheet. (Tip: to help the parchment to lay flat, crumple it then place it on the plate). Microwave about 1 cup of chocolate chips until it is a liquid, and carefully dip each date in it.
4
Place the chocolate covered dates on the parchment paper and into the fridge to harden. Enjoy!!
